Rock Salt acts on ice and snow to lower its freezing point.
This means that at zero or sub zero temperatures when water is normally frozen in the form of ice or snow, the application of salt will melt it.

This action is essential to keep our roads and highways open during periods of cold weather in winter.
The use of rock salt will ensure personal safety on pathways, car parks and home driveways.

Darlingtons supplies rock salt in easy to manage Handipaks (approx 20kgs), Large Bags (approx 25kgs), Bulk Bags (approx 1000kgs) and in loose quantities by Darlingtons own tipper fleet or an approved transport partner.

Handipaks are delivered on strong non returnable pallets, Bulk bags can be placed on pallets for ease of lifting off at the customers premises.

For sites without lifting equipment we can arrange for delivery by a vehicle fitted with a tail-lift/crane/hiab to lift the product off.

Loose quantities are delivered by our fleet of rigid tippers (up to 20 tonnes) or our articulated tippers (up to 29 tonnes).

Deliveries can be made to meet the customer's requirements. Our standard delivery service is 2-3 days from receipt of order.

However our premium service provides same day and next day deliveries, subject to vehicle availability.
